Heinrich Peuckmann wurde 1949 in Kamen geboren, wo er noch immer lebt. Aufgewachsen in einer Bergmannsfamilie. Abitur in Unna, Studium der Germanistik, ev . Theologie und Geschichte an der Ruhr Universität in Bochum. Peuckmann ist verheiratet und hat drei Söhne. Seine literarische Arbeit ist sehr vielfältig. Er schreibt Romane, Erzählungen, Gedichte, Hörspiele, Essays, Theaterstücke, Glossen, pädagogische Artikel. Kleinere Arbeiten auch für das Fernsehen .
